Lugged Road Bike
Designed and Fabricated a 700c steel frame road bike with specified geometry. Inspired to duplicate an Italian Steel frame (Ciocc) road bike I loved in High School, I used BikeCad to duplicate the frame with a slightly bigger geometry to fit my current size. Once the geometry was perfected, I sourced Tubes and components from a variety of online stores as well as a local second hand bike shop. This bike also took advantage of a Campagnolo group set taken from the the older Ciocc. Lugs, brazed with silver solder and double butted steel tubing gave this bike a very familiar feel.
The steel frame tubing cut to size and placed in a device to hold the form of the bike during brazing of the joints using a silver solder.
The project complete with most components installed. In progress and still required a paint job and rear brake!
The final product!
